Recap

So far we've read up to Part 7, Chapter 27-28 of A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami. The disillusioned protagonist, has been drawn into a surreal mystery after using a peculiar photograph of sheep in an advertisement. A powerful and shadowy organization orders him to find a specific sheep with a star-shaped mark, last seen in the snowy wilderness of northern Japan.

His search leads him from Tokyo to the remote countryside of Hokkaido, accompanied by his enigmatic girlfriend with supernatural insight. Along the way, he encounters some eccentric figures, some who hold crucial knowledge about the mysterious sheep. The deeper he goes, the more he realizes the journey is reshaping his perception of reality, identity, and purpose.
